Ian Duffy provides corporate restructuring and turnaround advice to companies in the property, retail, leisure and insurance sectors.

As head of the RSM International Cleantech & Renewable Energy Group, he has access to a pool of expertise and experience in global best practice in this sector.

Ian has been involved in a number of significant restructuring projects requiring a change in strategies, additional management and renegotiation of financial and operating contracts.

Cleantech and renewable energy

Ian has a specialist interest in the clean technology and renewable energy sector and provides transaction, financing and project management advice to businesses in this sector both in Ireland and internationally.

He works closely with a number of RSM International member firm partners within the worldwide network to assist business in these sectors. This is one of the first vertical sector groups to have been established by RSM International, with a goal of supporting this emerging sector and driving new business.

Ian studied at Trinity College Dublin, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Maths and Engineering, and completed further studies in Applied Finance at the Irish Management Institute.

He is a member of the Institute of Directors in Ireland and the Mediators Institute of Ireland. He also holds advisory positions to a number of international companies in the cleantech, alternative energy and technology sectors and serves on the boards of a number of start-up companies.

Ian joined our firm in 2007 and is located at our Dublin office.
