Declan O’Hanlon
With over 25 years’ experience in tax, Revenue audit investigations and personal financial planning, Declan O’Hanlon is a key member of the Tax team at RSM Farrell Grant Sparks. He has particular expertise in family law matters and is a skilled expert witness.
His clients include individuals, entrepreneurs and medium-sized companies in a wide variety of business sectors, as well as professional services advisers and various firms in the entertainment industry.
Forensic accountant
Declan has acted as a forensic accountant in numerous family law cases and commercial disputes and has prepared financial reports for court in judicial separation and divorce proceedings. He has given evidence as an expert witness in relation to these cases at hearings in the High Court and Circuit Court.
He has advised a large number of individuals, estates and companies on taxation issues. Declan’s experience includes dealing with Revenue audits and investigations to include all tax heads; advising on income tax, gift and inheritance tax, capital gains tax and VAT issues; and advising on taxation matters in relation to a number of international hit shows and concerts.
He has also prepared and presented a number of cases before the Tax Appeals Commissioner and Social Welfare Appeals Officer.
He joined our firm in 1999, having previously worked for KPMG.
