Greg Sparks is a founding partner of RSM Farrell Grant Sparks. He specialises in consulting and corporate finance, with a particular focus on programme planning and implementation, and change management.
Greg is involved in a number of projects where restructuring plans are required, in which he advises either the companies themselves or the relevant banks involved. He has also advised companies on pensions and strategies to address structural deficits.
Greg has significant experience in the public sector, telecommunications and media. He was instrumental in setting up Employee Share Ownership Plans for public, private and semi-state organisations such as the ESB, NTL and Aer Lingus.
His unrivalled expertise in public sector projects includes being called in by various government departments regarding the implementation of the Third Energy Directive as well as the development of the emergency services.
He has advised a number of clients in negotiations with banks, including developing revised financial structures to enable companies to grow and prosper.
Internationally, Greg holds a number of board appointments including Digicel, the mobile operator in the Caribbean, where he advises on strategic development and positioning. In 2009 he was appointed to the board of Eircom Ltd where he was involved in attracting STT Singapore as a long-term investor. He also serves on the board of the Irish Times.
